Daily Masses are generally quiet and reverent. Monday & Friday the Mass is celebrated at 9 am and on Wednesday the Mass is at 6 pm. Also, on Thursday we have Adoration from 9 am until 5 pm; Benediction at 5 pm. Before each Mass we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and the Angelus. At Noon on nearby Fort Knox a daily Mass is available, see the calendar for locations. On Tuesday and Thursday daily Mass is celebrated at 8 am at our sister parish, St. Martin of Tours in Flaherty.
Weekend Mass
The Saturday afternoon Mass (4 pm) has a varied crowd, from busy sports families to senior citizens. It is a Mass with a more contemporary feel. Our 8 am Sunday Mass is the quietest of the weekend Masses – a good place for introspective folks to pray. At our second Sunday Mass (11 am) our Cantor leads us in song. This Mass has a more traditional feel and is a bit busier than the 8 am Mass. It is our most well attended Mass. Also, before each weekend Mass we pray together the Rosary.
Religious Education (Sunday School)
Our Religious Education Classes are on Sunday mornings between the Masses, from 9:15 to 10:30 am, September through April. The program provides religious formation (CCD) for the whole family: adults as well as children in Kindergarten through the 12th grade.
About the Catholic Mass
The Catholic Mass is a very participatory event. There are many times when the congregation will recite prayers, sing/speak responses, stand, kneel or sit, all together. Below is a general outline of the order of the Mass. Download a printable guide to prayers and responses here. For a deeper explanation of the Mass parts, watch the video below.
